Spinifex Group were commissioned to create a dramatic animated backdrop for the ambitious theatrical interpretation of DreamWorks hit film, How to Train Your Dragon. Featuring a set based almost entirely around large-scale content mapping, the seamless wall and floor projection canvas played a key role in establishing and transforming the environment, to support Hiccup and Toothless through their epic adventure.
As the Senior Producer, I oversaw the production of 2-hours of highly stylized digital content, which was tightly choreographed to the performances of the actors and 25 life-like animatronic models. The unique show helped establish a new genre, combining elements of cinema and theatre in a magical and immersive experience.
